Abstract

The global healthcare landscape is experiencing a growing prevalence of dental fatigue. The well-being, work performance and care of patients are all being significantly impacted by the significant stress that many dental professionals are enduring as a result of the ever-increasing demands placed on them. Dentists in both public and private sectors are impacted by this phenomenon, which is
not restricted to any particular country or region and extends across continents. These challenges are even more severe for South African dental professionals, as they are confronted with distinctive contextual factors that can exacerbate the mental and emotional strain of their work.
