Incidental intima-media wall changes in the lower-limb arteries: a case series in habitual distance runners

This case series describes the observed presence of echogenic circular “beads” identified by high-resolution ultrasound imaging in the peripheral arterial walls of the lower limbs of three vascularly asymptomatic runners.
