Abstract

The Medico-Legal field of practice in South Africa stands on the brink of change as new legislation impacts on occupational therapists practice. This article looks at the current realities and experiences of South African Occupational Therapist’s working in the Medico Legal Field. The opinions of relevant role players are shared. The aim being for the profession as a whole, to profit from the pasts’ triumphs and disasters and to encourage the meeting of challenges and ethical questions raised, as we move into a new legislative era.
